About:

Ellie is an artist focusing on themes within the botanical world and applying them to modern discourse inspired by Metamodernism and Performative Photography. After studying BA(Hons) Photography in Surrey, (UK) her work has evolved to question the identity of the British environment, as well as the potential future of the natural world as we progress into a new age of genetic modification and globalization. Her works utilizes nature and botany, using it as the focal point to present modern discourse through juxtaposing non-traditional photographic approaches. Ellie’s art draws out the symbiosis between the natural world and anthropology. She presents the oscillation between science and art through several formats, the most notable being her pseudoscientific techniques, artificial intelligence, Coronal energy, chemical printing and scanography.
